Getting your doctorate in linguistics is not going to be easy but it certainly is something that is not impossible. The first thing that you need to do is to get accepted into one of the linguistics phd programs that is available. Most major universities have these programs so you’re going to need to decide which of the universities you will go to along with which of them will accept you. Typically, the classes are a little bit smaller who are going for this particular degree and you will have to commit to anywhere from four to six years of college, depending on the amount of classes you are going to take.
